ABOUT

YOUR WILD MIND

nature is our nature.

And when we remember our nature, we gain access to our greatest strengths as humans.

Woman with dark wavy hair wearing a white sweater, sitting outdoors near greenery, with a rusty metal structure behind her, holding a notebook and pen, looking thoughtfully upward.

We are a small, highly personalized coaching and visual consulting practice.

Our work focuses on building good relationships with ourselves and others, and restoring the inner and outer systems that support life.

The story:

Although Your Wild Mind was technically born on a transatlantic flight days before the pandemic reshaped the world, the seeds were planted years ago…

when a burned-out teen with a spicy brain came across a radical book at her aunt’s house,

…and realized that school wasn’t the only way.

A few months later, I walked into the principal’s office with a letter saying I would take charge of my own education, and walked out into a life that would become a journey into the wilderness.

YOUR WILD MIND is a result of deep (and ongoing) deconstructing and unlearning

that led to the understanding of:

A woman in a red crop top and black skirt dancing flamenco with a smile at an outdoor event, surrounded by a crowd.

CREATIVITY & CULTURE

AS SURVIVAL SKILLS

  • We’ve been taught that creativity is a luxury we can indulge in if we have extra time.

In truth, creativity is the ultimate human skill. It allows us to engage with questions that don’t have clear right or wrong answers, and to collaborate effectively with the unknown.

RESILIENCE THROUGH DIVERSITY

  • We’ve learned to fit in to survive, but we need everyone’s unique contribution to thrive.

Just like biodiversity is essential to a healthy ecosystem, diversity of personalities, interests, and neuro-types make for a healthy human community. Even within ourselves, variety forms our resilience. Our interests, experiences and many lives within one lifetime make us irreplaceable.

We belong because of who we are.

INTERCONNECTEDNESS

  • Many of us believe that if we can only be good enough, then we’ll finally get to be part of something.

Thing is, we’re already part of nature and the human family. Real motivation doesn’t come from a place of not feeling good enough, but from care and love for what we belong to.

Knowing we’re already part of something makes us want to contribute to it.
